Restoring Production backup to test

We would like to restore the production backup to a test environment. Can anyone tell me what needs to be changed in the test environment after the restore to insure the test environment does not conflict with the production environment?

Well, there are a few things that need to be addressed based on location of test environment. Is this the same server?
