Multiple copies of Mail Merge appear in the tools menu

I have Office SR1 loaded on a Win98 PC. When I click on the tools menu from within a Word document, there are several, literally hundreds, of the Mail Merge selection. I've re-loaded Office several times, including Office for Small Businesses.

Any ideas as to what could be causing this?? Or how to fix it?? It's a total hassle, if you want to click on Tools and scroll down to options. You have to scroll through the couple hundred Mail Merge selections first!

Any insight to this totally annoying problem would be GREATLY appreciated.
