need script to restore a DB

Can anyone have unix scripts to restore a database with incremental backup, without manual interaction as it is expecting to enter the next extent while resotoring until the extents ends.

thanks in advance,

Hi Ramya.

I'm not too sure what you meant by your reference to restoring an "incremental" backup. If you have an incremental backup then you have to initially restore your last full backup and then one or more incremental backups (depends on whether you have "overlap", etc). If you explain your situation, someone can explain what to do.

The rest of your question seems to suggest that you might want to "automate" a restore of a backup that has been cut into multiple segments. If that is the case -- it's quite easy. But please explain your situation a little better, first.

hi Ron,

I want to run a script for automated refresh ,
to be clear i want to just skip the below step instead of entering the next back up file name.I want it to be done automated till all the extends ends.
(in case if back up is not a single file it require the below step)

Please enter next device/file name or type "quit" to exit:

expecting quick reply.

thanks and regards
