how i can set passwords to my DB

hi i try to set password to my DB from a program, any one give some idea to do this.??

i dont want use dataadministration.?

What version of Progress?

Why don't you want to use data administration?

You cannot change the password on an existing _User. You can only delete the record and re-create it with your new password.
