Hi, Syteline 4.01

We have a problem with Data Collection Store & Forward archiving - Syteline
creates a new file every 3 minutes even if the file is empty - this results
in 480 files daily and 3360 files for a week.

In Unix I modified trak.sh to append the new data to the daily file - I
always had 7 files easy to view and to read in.

Unfortunately on NT we do not have the source code and I can't tinker with
it -
maybe some kind sole would send me the modified program?

Symix v4.0r8.01

At the Intermec Configure when doing an Activity Time I get a time display
of 100/01/24 10:45 as the time being set. Has anyone seen this ? Does anyone
know where it comes from?

Harvey,

What version of Progress are you running ? Also what operating system ? It
looks a display bug to me ... I mentionned OS because some "functions" are C
programs supplied by Intermec and have a strong link with systems time
routine ... (For instance SCO OpenServer 5.0.4 requires a patche to give a
correct 6 digit formatted time).

We are on Symix4R4 and our BP patched the few routines where they had
"19"+YY+MM+DD (and I suppose some had yy=year(date) - 1900 or similar logic
...

PS How's the display when you go in the M - D - D (Paramter screens) for BG

7.3E on SCO v 5.04

I have several Intermec devices on line and all were working with the
imget.dat, imconf.dat and irlsend.dat files supplied by Symix prior to the
end of the year now when I tried to configure and program the device it
comes up with the Intermec default date of 1/1/89. This shows in the JE
transactions and the arc file, all other data is correct.

This all started after a power failure and I have tried five different
devices and all turn up the same.

Sorry didn't see the last part the date on the parameter screen for the
last poll is correct. The problem comes when I try to program the device ...
it will not accept the date parameters that I am sending from Symix.;
