Modulus servos–mini virtual servers–offer a range of virtual server sizes for public cloud customers.

Choice is something everyone wants. No one likes a one-size-fits-all solution. A case in point is the typical airline seat – one size that’s barely big enough, and if you happen to be sitting next to someone who is a bit taller or wider – it’s just plain uncomfortable. Unless you are willing to pay for much more expensive business class or first class seating, you are stuck with that one size.

We’ve been keeping choice central mantra in our Modulus offering

Modulus is a Node.js platform for hosting, scaling and monitoring so development gets done faster and better. We know that one size doesn’t fit all. So, one of the elements in the new Modulus Public Cloud is the way these capabilities are packaged in “servos” – mini virtual servers that come in three sizes, 396MB, 512MB, and 1024MB. Pick what you need and jump in. It’s that easy. You can scale up or down depending on the needs of your project. Built-in analytics make it possible to set rules for easily scaling at any point.

Getting up to speed is also smooth sailing. There are a lot of great Node.js and Modulus resources that can help on the Modulus site, no matter your starting point.

Node integration

If you are already working with Progress®, integration is especially straightforward. For instance, with Progress® OpenEdge®, Node.js provides a great integration layer between OpenEdge and everything else, such as API-connected internet services. Similarly, Progress® Rollbase® can be leveraged as a powerful back end as a service (BaaS) for Node.js applications.

Node.js is rapidly taking over the enterprise space and becoming an indispensible means for getting things done., Modulus makes that simpler and more manageable.
