Starting server in Windows 2000

This is more of a Microsoft question than Progress, but I'm sure it has been encountered and resolved by someone out there. Using Progress V 9.1B and Windows 2000 Professional, I am firing up a database server for my application. Although the shortcut property has been set to run minimised, the command line screen still appears on the desktop and has to be minimised manually. Not a big deal, but annoying nonetheless. It worked OK in Windows 98. Any suggestions please?

Just a thought: Have you given any consideration to setting your DB up using the Progress Explorer/Proservice instead? It then starts automatically on boot. If you launch it as a shortcut via 'Startup' then it won't start until you log in.
