9.1d --> 9.1e

Does anything have to be done to the 9.1d databases when moving to 9.1e?

Can I simply re-compile all the code and start up as per normal, or does a process need to be run to tell the db that a different vewsion is in effect?

we made the move to 91e04 about a year ago and I don't recall having to do anything to the db. I may be wrong, but I think the db conversion is usually only required for major version changes, i.e. 9 to 10.

Shutdown, truncate the bi file, backup, change $DLC (or whatever else you do to upgrade), (backup again) and restart.

Recompiling is optional for letter changes but I generally do it anyway.

proutil convXY or dumping & loading is only required for major version changes.
