BroderBros., Co. is the largest national distributor of imprintable
sportswear in the United States. We operate 16 distribution
facilities and 6 call centers strategically located throughout the
United States. Our customers are decorators who embroider or silk
screen our products and then in turn sell to a wide variety of
end-use consumers.
This position entails maintenance and development of BroderBros.,
Co. websites and web applications.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Development of dynamic web applications utilizing Progress WebSpeed.
Translation of raster graphics (Photoshop files and TIFFs) in to
browser-neutral XHTML 4.0 compliant XHTML utilizing CSS and Dream
Weaver templates.
Writing supporting code including JavaScript, Perl, and XSLT to
facilitate website functionality.
Supporting role in maintenance of IBM IHS Apache 2.0 webserver on
AIX 5.2 operating system including log file maintenance and analysis,
httpd.conf configuration, scripting application deployment, and
security auditing.
Maintenance of company domains and DNS records.
Analysis of company processes and how they can be better served
through web applications. Translation of such processes in to
application specifications and development of said applications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Requires Associate degree or equivalent experience
in a related area
* 5+ years of on the job Progress WebSpeed and web
development experience
* Web site creative design along with coding in
Progress WebSpeed, XHTML, JavaScript, Perl,
Actionscript, and XSLT.
* Experience with Photoshop, DreamWeaver, ImageReady,
Flash, Fireworks, Illustrator, Quark and the ability
to adapt to any related software packages.
* Understanding of reusable code, separation of user
interface and business logic, documentation, and
structured development concepts.
* Knowledge and experience with all versions of the
Windows OS (95,98,2K,NT,XP).
* Strong Unix knowledge and experience.
* RoundTable experience a plus.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Ability to work with all levels of employees.
* Enthusiastic, self-starter, professional and results
oriented.
* General business acumen with demonstrated ability to
understand business needs and recommend improvements.
Challenges self to fully understand and develop optimum
solution within business constraints.
