Have you searched the forums for answers? Have you searched the documentation. Please prove that you have tried to help yourself on these matters before asking as this is a pretty fundamental aspect of Progress, and a question that has been asked many times in the past.

Hi all,
What is type2 storage area?
Please provide me any article or document regarding that.

Start by downloading the documentation set for your Progress version.
Then read the Database Essentials manual.
Then read the Database Administration manual.

The following applies to OpenEdge 10.0A or higher. In short, a data storage area is Type II if it has a cluster size (blocks per cluster) of 8, 64, or 512. If there is no cluster size shown in the structure file or it is 1, the area is a Type I area.

All of your data storage areas should be Type II except the Schema Area which must be Type I.
