I am new to the Syteline environment. Have recently moved from another company running a progress based ERP package to my current company, I am not entirely sure of the features and functionality of the Syteline system. However, One thing is for certain, we are running Syteline 5.00.30 and desperately need to purge some history records. We currently have data back as far as 1998 in our system. Our databases, (split across 5 different sites), are all at 60 gig or higher and our largest site now takes roughly 3 days to dump and reload the database. Does anyone know if there is a tool or a program to move data from the live db to a historical db. I would like to keep a rolling 3 years and move the remaining data to a history database.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Based on what I have seen, there does not appear to be much in the way of a data purge utility.
