Role
Reporting to the Development Manager you will work with the Extracts team and business users to produce systems analysis and design documentation for new systems. Your main focus will be to develop, document and test new systems and to support existing systems and their incremental development.

This will involve extensive liaison with business users and customers. Excellent skills and experience in Progress RDBMS GUI development and maintenance and the design and implementation of business systems are essential to this role. You will need to analyse the requirements in system terms, estimate the resources required and possible timescales. All this information should be simply and concisely documented. Working as a team to support customers and escalate issues, you will support ongoing development including direct links to customers systems.

In this hands-on role, a calm, organised approach will be essential to meet multiple deadlines, and your excellent systems knowledge will be invaluable.

Good communication skills, a sharp eye for detail, and a flexible and pro-active approach to work are all essential for this varied and challenging position, as well as experience of managing and motivating staff in a technology department.
