VoltDB is an in-memory scale-out SQL database built to power the next generation of streaming data applications, including recommendation engines, sensor applications like smart-grid power systems, telco policy and billing, real-time digital advertising platforms, click stream processing, auditing of market data orders, and risk management and fraud detection. As highlighted in the latest Gartner Magic Quadrant for Operational Database Management Systems, it is evident that VoltDB is one of rising stars in the constellation of ultra high-performance and highly scalable databases – using NewSQL technology and based on Java.
