Senior PROGRESS/PHP Senior Programmer/Analyst
$70,000 - $75,000 plus benefits depending on experience
Based South of Denver in the Denver Technology Center, American Data Group is a financial systems software supplier to Local Government, Utility companies and Non-profits, with over 100 customers nationwide.
We are currently undertaking a major, long-term project migrating our existing PROGRESS software suites to a web browser based , database independant environment written in PHP , and are looking for a Senior Analyst/Programmer to join the small development team. Your PROGRESS skills will allow you to analyze the legacy code, all new coding is done using PHP.
Responsibilities
----------------
Analysis of legacy PROGRESS code.
Development of financials applications in PHP
Participating in the care and maintenance of our existing CHUI application suites.
The successful candidate will be required to gain rapid knowledge in complex web application development in PHP, and have the opportunity to learn the setup and configuration of DBMS such as Oracle and DB2.
Required Skills
---------------
Progress 4GL version 9 development in a CHUI environment
Progress Webspeed or other Web development environment skills
A solid understanding of Accounting principles
At least 5 years experience developing Financials applications on any platform.
A knowledge of HTML, Javascript,CSS, XML
Good customer liason skills
Other Beneficial Skills

A knowledge of Modern Web Techniques such as AJAX
Administration skills in Windows,Unix or Linux
Database Management Skills in Oracle,DB2,SQL server or MySQL
