I am looking for some info on the following scenario.
There is a Pro Vision 8.2 Workgroup Database running on an NT
Server machine.
There are 3 users attached all with Client Networking
Run Time Licences (ProVision)
On One of the pc's There is a program that generates
source code based on the fields and conditions that a user selects.
Dynamically and outputs a data file, for only the fields the user selects.
( I know this is possible in Version 9 using dynamic queries.)
but not in version 8.
The program will not run becuse it obviously needs to compile that program
as it is generated dynamically and the user only has a client license.
Is it possible to purchase just a compiler for that one pc and add it as an
additional progress product or would a full pro vision license need to be purchased.
The user does not need any of the development tools just the facility to compile that one
generated program.
