PROGRESS PATCH Version 8.3C22
We are using a RS6000 P660 (4xCPU 4GB RAM) connected through fiber to an IBM SAN (Storage Array Network). Each of the four databases has a RAID 0 (stripe) for the database and one single disk for the BI file. OS and swap are on a local disk.
My issue is that the performance is very, very slow on this system. When I run the Progress ATM benchmark the results compare to a benchmark I ran 6 years ago on a HP system. I would expect this system to run much faster. When I run the *same* benchmark on the local disk it is only 30-40% faster.
Anyone any experience with this setup?
Any suggestions?
