Restricting Progress editor

Can the editor be restricted to querying only?


I'm looking for a way that MFG/Pro should work normally, but when a user gets into the editor, that he cannot do updates to the database.
Someone here is in a position where he can demand access to the editor -business reasons-, but I want to restrict him to queries only when he is in the editor.
Any ideas are welcome
