reg backup

hi all,
i hav taken an offline incremental and online incremental back of my test database.i can see a huge variation reg size in both of the backup file for the same database.could u please say why such variation.

Just guessing but the first one is probably bigger because it hadn't been done before. The second one is probably smaller because there wasn't as much activity between incremental backups as there was prior to the initial backup.
