I have this error

S1000: [MERANT][ODBC PROGRESS driver][PROGRESS]** Incomplete write when writing to the server. (735)
S1000: [MERANT][ODBC PROGRESS driver][PROGRESS]Error reading socket, ret=10054, errno=0. (778)
Some of this is generated by our error handler, but you get the idea. Any ideas why?
Server is 9.1c with merrant drivers with a remote ODBC connection. Not all calls to the DB get the error, most are processed without incident.
