Hello Members,

This is my first time using this forum, so I am hoping for positive responses.

The company I work for is currently using QAD MFG/Pro Service Pack 8, 2004 version. ('Ole Reliable') lol

As a business analyst, I have been tasked with determining if multiple VAT percents can be applied to a specific invoice.

Due to Covid-19, they have altered the existing VAT rate of 19% to 16%.

Now they need to implement both per given invoice.

My question is simply: Is this possible? If so, how can I facilitate this?

I am familiar with the tax screens but as I am not an accountant, I could use some basic assistance.

Can QAD accommodate multiple VATs per invoice?

Thank you for any information you may provide.

Hello Wood,

You can use multiple VAT rates per invoice.
Be aware that a customer can only have one default setting, but in each line the vat information can be changed.
The same is for items.

Well, in theory, the only thing you need to do is adjust the VAT rate starting on a given date, move it from 19% to 16%.
I can't recall if in that version you still had the VAT, GST/PST and GTM selection in the main control file (later GTM became the only tax system). But in any case, you should be able to add a new tax rate starting on a given date, be it in the VAT rate maintenance or in GTM Rate Maintenance.
