Progress Explorer - start / stop database

Hi All,
I have one issue that occurs sometimes.
I tried to start / stop database from Progress Explorer. But sometimes it works fine and sometimes it doesn't work at all. Then i have to do it using command to start/stop it.

I still am not getting the issue. Hopeful to hear from someone because I felt it quiet interesting.

You can right mouse click the db to start it in windows. Though you should really be running it as a service.
Using progress explorer tool, or even do it via command line through progress

You don't say anything 'bout your Progress/OpenEdge version nor the OS on which the database is running. If a database fails to start the first thing you should do is to have a look in the database logfile. Most likely you'll find an error message giving you a clue what's going wrong.
