Meeting Agenda Welcome Back to OPUG: President’s Message, Paul Fry, OPUG Building a Mobile App with the Telerik Platform, Shelley Chase, Progress Fifty Ways to Dig Your Data, Scott Dulecki, Progress Introduction to Progress Application Server for OpenEdge, Irfan Pasha Syed, Progress Progress Software Speaker Bios Shelley Chase is a Senior Architect with a passion for enhancing the Progress® OpenEdge® product to integrate and support new and emerging technologies. She is celebrating her twentieth year with Progress. Shelley has extensive experience in enterprise application development, user experience and object-oriented programming. She has been part of the development, design, and architecture of many features within OpenEdge including ActiveX, Web Services, Open Clients (Java and .NET), Object-oriented extensions to the ABL, OpenEdge GUI for .NET and JSDO. Shelley is currently working on a web modernization toolkit focused on moving GUI and character OpenEdge applications to Kendo UI® for developing modern web applications. She is a regular speaker at Progress and PUG conferences. Scott Dulecki has been helping companies better utilize Progress and QAD since 1994. He is a popular presenter at regional QAD and Progress User Groups, as well as PUG Challenge and QAD's Explore. Scott serves on the board of the Midwest and South East QAD User Groups. He is the author of Safe Haven: Archiving in MFG/PRO, Safe Haven: MFG/PRO Basics and Back to Basics: Dump and Load. He received an MBA from the University of Michigan and a BA from the University of Detroit. He has been recognized as a Distinguished Toastmaster by Toastmasters Int’l, as a CPIM by APICS and as PEGger of the Year by the Progress Email Group (PEG). Irfan Pasha Syed is a Principal Engineer for Progress. Based out of Progress's Cincinnati, Ohio office, Irfan specializes in application, security and performance testing of Progress App Server for OpenEdge and Progress WebSpeed. When he's not performing web application testing and presenting technical sessions, Irfan can often be found hanging out in the OpenEdge forum answering questions related to PAS for OpenEdge or attending meetups on Agile testing and best practices.
