Progress Backup and AI

Hi,

I want to manage a daily Progress backup with AI enable (Windows 2000 environment with full offline backup).
What is the method to that in a script ? What is the order to use for the different commands to execute ?
Example:
AI END
BACKUP
BEGIN AI

The AI file must be empty after each backup.

Setup
Create a multi-volume AI (3 extents?) and enable it.

Operations
Do your backups normally. A backup forces an AI extent switch, so you can choose what to do with the AI extents you have. When you restart the database it will start on a new AI extent.

You can then choose what you want to do with the old AI file. I would sugegst keeping a few in case of emergency (and at least keeping them on tape).

In the latest versions of Progress, if you empty a variable length AI extent it will also truncate that extent.
