Question Openedge 10.1b Hf33 - Modifying Records

Our version of OpenEdge is 10.1B and it came with our ERP system. We have a couple records that we would like to remove from the system, but apparently our version of OpenEdge is a developer only version.

Is there anything we can use to modifying these records without using the ERP system?

Thanks.

A bit of detective work suggests the user is using Epicor Vantage 8.03. So yes you should contact them in the first instance.

Interesting to speculate on what a developer only version is doing used for production. If you have even one developer license, you should be able to do anything you want to the database ... although, if you don't know what you are doing, you could easily break a lot of things, so deleting through the application would be highly preferable. At the least, get guidance from the vendor about how to do it safely and cleanly.

If it is a developer version it should be trivial for a developer to FIND and DELETE the records in question.

But only the vendor, or developer familiar with t can tell you if that is a good idea.

Service Pack 3 in 10.1B offered some significant improvements. You should check the $DLC/version file to make sure you are at least on 10.1B03.
