ODBC with Excel

Hi friends,

I would like to know if it is possible in a Excel workbook to run functions for getting data from a Progress database WITHOUT having ODBC?
E.g getCustName(custnum) function which will get me the customer name from database for the entered customer.

If anyone has any ideas on this, please let me know asap.

I think there isn,t possible read database progress with ms-excel without ODBC.

I have some samples to build or modify ms-excel sheet with progress.

You cam RUN ms-excel macros with progress.
