New Site & "0" Cost Inventory

1/ We had added a new site in our site master.

2/ The inventory status for this site is the same as of all the other sites.

3/ Then Inventory Items were transferred from other sites to this new site and
subsequently Work Orders were created in this new site and also received.

4/ But the items that were transferred/received through the Work Orders to/in
this new site do not carry the avg. cost(transferred with "0" costs / recd.
thro' WO with "0" costs) , though the items have values.

Kindly let me know why this happened and what do we do to overcome this problem.

Cost records are by site. Costs for new sites are always zero until
they are physically entered. You will need procedures to ensure that
new costs are added to both sites and maintained on both sites.

TO Debi's point, it's by site. Here is generally what needs to happen:

1) Need to copy the cost into the new site through 30.3 .

2) Then in order to update your work orders you would need to run 16.22 "WIP
Cost Revaluation" ---

that should do it I think.
