Memory Usage in 10.2B

Hello-We are in the process of upgrading from OpenEdge 10.0B to 10.2B. We are seeing a lot more memory usage in both the windows and unix (Aix) environments. Is this normal? Adding more memory to our unix environment is a possibility, but is more problematic in the windows environment. Are there any tweaks we could make to our configuration to help reduce this effect? Thanks.

Check your startup parameters. Defaults on some parameters have changed. The best comparison is to look at the first 50 lines or so of the log file after a server startup. Look at both and compare them.

I am assuming, of course, that you are talking about the server.

You might want to pursue the question further in the DB forum, if that is the case.

It would also be helpful to understand how you are going about measuring memory usage.
