Is it advisable to use Aiarchiver

All,

is it better to use the Aiarchiver progress option to archive the ai files(rfutil <db> -C aiarchiver enable) which will archive the files periodically oris it better to manually archive the AI files mainly by placing the scripts as CROn job which will figure out all the full extents
rfutil <db> -C aimage extent full and then archive it and mark the extent as empty for reuse.

What are the main things that we need to think before finalzing the AI archive process.

It is far better to use AI any way that you can than not to use AI.

As for using the provided archiver vs creating your own scripts... that depends on your skill levels and the reasons that you would want to use your own.

I generally prefer my own because I understand after-imaging, I'm a fairly competent script writer and I have a long history with my ai scripts.
