Forum Post: Count based on action performed

I need to create a field that tracks every time a user performs a certain action in a page / view. (e.g : when user clicks on a button "SEND MAIL" - I wish to see how many times users have clicked SEND MAIL till date. I need it to COUNT how many times that user performs that action
