connecting to progress db

I am using a vb interface to connect to ms sql.
How can I connect to a progress database from vb.

Have you tried ODBC (SQL) to do this?

See the Progress knowledge base on any information/issues regarding ODBC (depends on the Progress version you are using).

If you are using Progress version 9 then you will have the merant driver ODBC driver bundled with it. All you need do is setup a DNS connection using the merant driver to connect to the progress database. You will then be able to access this from VB.
