Chinese character not displayed in putty screen

After the migration of data from old server to new server, the chinese characters are not displayed in the putty screen. But when we try to print it, the chinese characters are displayed properly. Current putty configuration is UTF-8. Please help.

You haven't provided any information about the operating system, which is relevant. Have you compared the locale and TERM in the old versus new?

Did this problem not happen in your pre-migration testing?
