I have a V8 DB running on NT and I have 2 user ID. One is the Admin and the other is a normal user. Both of them can start the DB through the ProControl panel. But when they press the 'STOP' button on the ProControl, only the Admin can shutdown the DB.
If the normal user press the 'Stop' button, she still got the message 'The DB was shutdown succesfully', but actually, the DB is still running (I know it because I still can login my application).
If the Admin press the 'Stop' button, she also got the same message but the only difference is the DB is really shutdown.
Do anyone of you have any idea on this case?
