Wierd Decimal Point display after moving to NT Server

We are in the process of moving our Syteline 2h00 file server from Novell
4.10 to Windows NT 4.0

When accessing the Novell 4.10 Syteline file server, the numbering format
is:
say $79,000.00

When accessing the Win NT 4.0 Syteline file server, the numbering format is:
now $79.000,00

Noticed that the comma and the dot has swapped places.

Even Progress Query showed the same effect.

In both cases, the database was the same Win NT 4.0 box and I have checked
the currency configuration in both Novell and NT to be the same. In fact, we
even tried copying the entire Syteline.srv and DLC.Srv from Novell to NT and
we still encounter the same thing.

Any clue anyone?

Check your client parameters. On one client session
you have the -E parameter (European numbers) set and
on the other you have the numeric format from North
America because you don't have the -E set.

Check the startup.pf file in the $DLC directory for some European decimal
format parameter settings.
