Were they able to access the menu when they were a member of the group? What menu are they unable to access and who is seeing the greyed out edit menu you or them?
Now when the user logs in they no longer have capabilities to search the menu, and the favorite screen no longer shows. The user is unable to access the menu search by clicking on the edit button since it is grayed out.
The problem has been fixed. There was a .NET issue so deleted the file c:\documents and settings\<username>\Application Data\QAD\*.*. Now the user is able to login properly, and has the menu screen.
