Time On Audit Tables

if I make an update on a data base table for which the Audit policy is Enabled
1) what would be the time assigned as _aud-audit-data._audit-date-time ?
2) Do progress create a record in _aud-audit-data when user lock this record ? if it is created what would be time assigned ?
3) if user keep the record locked for long time and commit it later, what would be the time assigned to audit-date-time field
