[size=-1]Develop/maintain custom Progress programs as part of an enterprise wide MAPICs - Syteline business applications, specializing in Forecasting, MRP, MPS and Inventory.
•Develop custom programs to support implementations of Progress Database and Mapics, SyteLine Applications environment
•Utilize Progress, MS Access, Visual Basic, Impromptu, PowerPlay, and Crystal Reports to develop custom solutions as needed
•Serve as a technical subject matter expert for custom Progress based applications
•Participate in all phases of the implementation, integration, and on-going sustainment of enterprise wide business systems. Gather functional and technical system requirements; Develop time and material estimates for enhancements and work to those plans; Analyze, engineer & reengineer business processes; Design, develop/implement: custom programs & processes; Custom end user reports; Custom forms; Custom interfaces to/from strategic systems; Identify application gaps
Develop/execute gap closure plans
Business process simulations & user acceptance testing.
Monitor/troubleshoot go-live events
Enable users to assume ownership of applications
Generate technical & user documentation
Generate technical metrics for Process Improvement
Develop solutions to user problems.
BS/BA
3+ years direct Progress programming experience
2+ years Functional & Technical Understanding of FrontStep, Syteline architecture and Progress operating infrastructure
2+ years Mapics - SyteLine Applications required
2+ years VB, MS Access programming skills
successful full life-cycle enterprise implementations, including hands-on configuration, legacy data import, interface construction, and post go-live support
Strong business knowledge and understanding in at least four of the following areas: Forecasting, MRP, MPS, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Purchasing, Quality, and Manufacturing
Outstanding Communication Skills
Use & support of structured support and maintenance processes & techniques
Knowledge & experience in a TQM (Total Quality Management), 6 Sigma, ISO 9000, or SEI/CMM environment preferred
