Syteline 5.0 slow - Suggestions?

Hello, I recently have been thrust into the position of administering a Syteline 5.0 server that has started to run VERY slow when users are running reports, etc. I have not been able to track down any reasons as to why this is happening. I have read someplaces where re-indexing would not help, but dump and re-load might.

As I am pretty new in this spot and it has been a while that I have dealt with db admin, are there any suggestions as to what I should do to the system to make it run better?

In my experience Syteline performance is a very "target rich" environment. It will likely respond well to most normal db tuning steps. Especially if you don't feel constrained by Syteline's advice on the matter.

You'll need to reveal the gory details of your platform and configuration and the particular nature of the performance problems to get any specific advice.

Or you could just save time and hire a consultant
