Is anyone aware of a "standard" EDI like data feed between SAP and
SYMIX. This would includes customer orders, shipments, purchase orders,
and receipts.

Please reply to kenl@rsvpinc.com.
TIA

If you can get the IMPORT/EXPORT file definition Symix uses with
EDI-translators like Radley or Gentran ... Otherwise it would be Create am
EDI raw file in one, translate it with a translator and import it in the
other one ... If Gentran has a bridge to SAP you could use only one
translator ... The other way would be to create and ODBC-like link between
SAP and SymEDI (or SyteEDI) edi* tables ...

Eric.

in Symix4 EDI-in/ot flat files are like an ascii dump of a Cobol
multi-structure ISAM file beginning with a key following by a record
descriptor for PO (850) and a set HeaDeR DeTaiL for Invoice(810) and ASN
(856) ...

Hi Cris, I just joined this forum today. I'm an Iseries programmer Analyst and I am trying to locate and download all of the database files from Symix 4.3. I am not at all familiar with this sofwtare or operating system but I saw your post about downloading to flat files. We are looking to get rid of the Symix software and integate the company on our Iseries package. Can you be of any help to point to in the right direction or to someone that might be able to assist us in this project.

Thanks you for any assistance that you can give.
