Hi, i'm having problem in shipping kit items with components having serial numbers.
the question:
if menu 7.9.2 is not good for this process, what other alternative is there ?
(i mean to ship the kit while documenting the serials of the components)
the background: I configured kit structures (using menu 8.1), some of the components have serial numbers. I am using menu 7.9.2 (Pre-Shipper/Shipper Workbench) to prepare the kit to shipment,
and also want to enter the serial numbers of the components
the problems :
1) program(7.9.2) requires to enter location for the kit item(the parent item which doesn't have
inventory, as it is a kit assembled only at time of packaging) and i don't a location for the kit itself
2) i enter the first component with its serial, when i try to enter the 2nd component with other serial,
i get error: "Error: you cannot have multiple items for same site/loc/lot-serial/ref"
