roll forward error

afternoon 'talkers,

oe 10.2a, RHL.

we do a nightly backup of our database and ftp it across to a spare box and restore it there.
I've now ftp'ed the ai files across to our spare box and I'm having problems trying to roll forward the ai files.

We use the ai archiver to maintain our ai, , and I've used the files as specified by the archival.log file since the backup was taken (and also tried the ai immediately previous to it)

I get the error 8019 - Expected ai file number 1 but file specified is 1583 in sequence. and
error 11014 - roll forward open <ai-filename> error: -1.

I'm currently having a look thru' the kb, but hoping someone can give me a quick pointer.

Afternoon again,

problem solved - nothing to do with the backups - the issue was that the script used to restore the spare database starts after-imaging and ai management. Should've spotted it sooner :-(
