Progress Developer position in Richmond, VA
4GL Programmer/Analyst to join an IT/MIS team. The chosen candidate will provide application development expertise on a team that primarily develops, maintains, supports the banking related applications used by an Auto Finance Company. A strong understanding of the Progress programming language in the UNIX environment is required.
The successful candidate will be able to efficiently use analysis and design methodologies to create detailed specifications and complex software; diagnose and correct program defects in objects or modules; perform routine database maintenance and work with users to define solutions to solve specific business problems. Minimum 3 years of development experience required preferably in the Progress environment. Strong communication skills as well as experience in the banking or finance industry strongly preferred and any Microsoft VB.NET/DTS exposure is a plus.
