Great opportunity for a motivated detail oriented developer to join
a team of developers working on database design and enhancements!
Our client, located in the King of Prussia, Pennsylvania area, is
looking for a Progress Developer to join their team as a permanent
employee. They will be developing in Progress v. 9 and work with
WebSpeed as well. This team will be working on database enhancements
and special projects. This position is responsible for:
* Identifying and resolving functional and technical issues as
they relate to each request.
* Analyzing data and understanding what the data represents
functionally. Make recommendations based on analysis.
* Programming in PROGRESS to complete requests.
* Communicating verbally or in written form in order to clarify
requests or to report the results after processing.
* Contributing to teamwork environment by participating in
meetings and assisting other members of the group when needed.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of development experience with
RDBMS and at least 1+ years of Progress Development. A Bachelor's degree
is highly desired and experience with any 4GL, Unix, User Interface
design, HTML, and XML is desired. Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills are a must. This position is salaried plus is bonus
eligible.
