RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, code, test, debug, and document application programs, while enhancing existing programs to ensure that applications continue to meet business needs
• Develop new systems for business operations including conceptualizing and creating physical designs for applications
• Integrate third party products, including service oriented interfaces
• Troubleshoot software problems to ensure continuous business operations
• Interface with user management regarding project status and user needs to promote an environment of user cooperation and satisfaction
• UTI will enthusiastically train the right candidate with strong fundamental skills
Qualified candidate will possess 3+ years’ experience designing and developing in Progress technologies. Experience with Progress ADM2 Smart Objects is required.
Knowledge of Progress AppServers, NameServers, Progress ProxyGen and Web Services preferred. Experience with Open Edge 10 also a plus. Understanding of and experience with structured analysis and design, object oriented programming, unit testing, structured debugging, source control tools, code reviews and walkthroughs essential. Knowledge of personal computer software applications including Microsoft Office Products also required. The ability to communicate well and work in a fast-paced environment are essential; BS Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent experience is required.
