Open source Icon Sets?

I was wondering if there were any good open source icon sets out there that i could look into using on things such as a add/edit/delete window with maybe a treeview and some tabs.

if it's for a website you're most likely looking for template sets.


i really wouldn't mind shelling out a few bucks for a good product. you get what you pay for.

these things are royality free and usually cost a couple or more hundred bucks, usually.


i too would be interested in other peoples experience with templates.

there are so many templates for websites to choose from it's easy to get lost.

Yeah i guess this is more so what i was aiming for. I'm curious to see some feedback before i start looking to deep into them. More the OS icon sets i found from google seemed to be a long crystal, and vista theme based. I personally don't think that they look too great on most of "legacy" looking apps. I mean i could always consider a UI upgrade but more so just kind of looking for something simple, to mess around with before i start going all out for a good template set.
