Delivers technical and development consulting to customers and partners in areas such as Progress RDBMS, Unix/Linux System Administration, JAVA and Windows. Facilitates resolution of moderately complex to complex client technical problems, help with providing scope and estimation on services engagement proposal for customers, serve as pre-sales support and post-sales technical support specialist. Contributes to knowledge bases and PRIMUS solutions repository. Performs the role of Technical Lead of technical/development projects. Must be knowledgeable in QAD’s MFG/PRO application and other Progress and/or Oracle RDBMS based applications.
Scope: Uses professional concepts; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.

University level degree or equivalent. Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience. Must be knowledgeable in QAD’s MFG/PRO application and other Progress and/or Oracle RDBMS based applications. Experience with Linux/Unix systems administration, java programming, Windows are all plusses.

It is strongly preferred that the person already be in the area, but we may be willing to relocate someone if we are unable to find an acceptable candidate already in Chicago.
