Like or begins or matches

I don't seem to be able to find the SQL equivalent to LIKE. What would be the Progress equivalent to the below?

(abs_par_id LIKE 'sPL%') AND (abs_id LIKE 'isPL%')

Sorry - works fine. My error was in another part of my statement. I just assumed it was the LIKE statement.
