How to add userfields in Symix4.01?
I would like to add 4 logical fields in Item Master form in Symix4.00 version . Can it possible to add userfields in Syteline 4.0 version(Except UET concept). I think UET concepts are implementd in Syteline5.00 onwards only, so we cant implement UET concept here . So can any way to add userfields in syteline4 version.

The Version prior SL 5.0 only offer 1 logical user-defined field.
to have more logical fields, must modify programs and add a
new table(i.e. ud-item) and link with item number.

Is it possible to edit the item master.....
I edit the item master and add just added 4 fields. But its getting so many erros while opening the screen. And how to add save,update,delete functionalities.

well, I thought 4.0 just like 4.5 and start to using GUI screen for
[Item Master] ( I know 4.5 and after are, but didn't sure 4.0 is ).

If so, then You must modify a lot of source codes. In GUI screen,
the Table-IO tool bar trigger the add/update/delete functions
on as/rules/item.p, and Record Navigator tool bar trigger the
record forword /backword thru as/query/item.w (Remote Query).


Any way, It's not a task such as add some fields on screen
only !
