Email Messaging

Dear All,

I was wondering if there is a way to send Email Messages (MS Outlook) using Progress code (Procedure Editor). I am developing a module that needs notifications among users. I tried the windows "net send" and it is working fine

DOS SILENT "NET SEND Someone HELLO THERE".

However, I have remote users that are not part of my local Domain and I need to send them notifications via Email Messages.

can you install blat and then just use the dos silent to call it?

Why not just use smtpmail.p and do it up right?

Hi,
why just include a kind of messaging system in your application ?
(as i done so far).
Just check on a specified time period the database if there is a message
for the user. And if there is a message - bring it to the front and
then you can bring ist to the front so the user has no need to
keep outlook or what ever running - and you can check if the user
has seen the message ...
