As part of our automated overnight processing, we are currently backing up our 9.1D database using probkup to tape. But due to the inconsistency of our tape drives I want to swap the probkup to disk. The disk backup would then be backed up to tape during the day for offsite storage.
If we were to lose the backup disk, is there a way of backing up the disk backup to tape that in the case of a restore I would be able restore to the database directly from the tape without first having to restore back to the disk backup area first. We are currently running on SCO 7.1.3. Apologies if this is a little confusing.
