Watchdog Process Question ???

Hi;
We are working with MFGPRO (Progress 8.3b and NT Platform)
I have seen a strange behavour:
the watchdog process writes to the database log file:
01:13:43 WDOG 1: ** Impossible de trouver ou d'ouvrir le fichier mfg.lk, errno = 5. (43)
01:13:43 WDOG 1: Le fichier mfg.lk n'est pas un .lk valide pour ce Serveur de Base. (4196)
which mean that he he can't find or open the mfg.LK file and he shutdown the database and put the files as a readonly files.

can any one gives me an explication
